The Oxford Dictionary defines "to assess" as inter alia …… "to estimate the quality or value of something".
Aircraft Assessing Company was formed in 1998 in response to a growing need from the South African aviation financing industry for unbiased and objective evaluations of aircraft, including helicopters, that they were being asked to finance.
The concept was well received and, whilst financial institutions remained AAC's main focus, its client-base was soon extended to include government agencies, insurers, corporations, individual owners and other interested parties.
Additional services were added as AAC's ability to satisfy these specialized markets grew. Today, Aircraft Assessing Company is the only company in Africa specializing in its chosen field.
